Named 2009 Farm Hero of the Year by the Edible Twin Cities
Ploughshare Farm is a certified organic farm located 18 miles north of Alexandria. We grow a wide variety of organic vegetables and some fruits on 160 acres of fertile soil bordering the Chippewa River in Central Minnesota. Our produce is considered to be of the highest quality in the state. As one prominent food coop manager wrote, "Ploughshare Farm has created an identity in our department equating their name with the freshest and choicest money could buy."
